Vista Property Group is a family-owned private real estate investment firm with a rapidly growing portfolio of urban retail, mixed-use, and multifamily investments.  Our core holdings are located in New York City, Chicago, and London, with an added focus on expanding into other exciting urban markets.

In-house management takes a hands-on approach in the acquiring, managing, and repositioning of our assets guided by our values driven investment strategy.  Our experience in management and development enable us to unlock a property’s potential, reduce operating expenses, increase tenant satisfaction, and leverage market trends. The asset management team works side-by-side with investment and development personnel, to reinforce transparency, seamlessly make decisions, and provide consistent, first-class service.

We invest for the long-term for the wellbeing and growth of our company, investors, and communities. We believe that win-win relationships create long-lasting rewards and opportunities. Our long-term focus aligns our interests with our tenants, brokers, lenders, and investors–allowing us to complete projects quickly, build strong relationships, and earn a solid reputation we’re proud to stand behind.

When all parties walk away from a completed project with a positive experience, we find that it’s not just the right way to operate, but that it’s also good business!

Prior to cofounding Vista Property Group, Hymie founded Excel Property Consulting, a boutique firm offering mortgage brokerage, property management, and consulting services for private property owners.  Excel’s management platform oversees over 50 assets, including Vista’s acquisitions, and its’ Financing division has brokered over $600,000,000 in commercial mortgage loans since its’ inception in 2014.  Hymie’s extensive network of legal, brokerage, banking, advisory, and service contacts all contribute to Vista’s success as a purchaser and operator.

Before founding Excel, Hymie served for nearly ten years at a private real estate acquisition and management office as the Director of Real Estate.  His responsibilities included sourcing and closing new acquisitions, maximizing value in the existing portfolio, and more recently the divestment and 1031 exchange of over two dozen real estate assets in Manhattan and the nearby vicinity.

Prior to transitioning into Real Estate, Hymie worked in Chicago as an Investment and Trading Analyst for Citadel Investment Group, one of the largest and most successful hedge funds in the United States. He received his CFA charter in 2010 (Chartered Financial Analyst) and is a Licensed Real Estate Broker.  He earned a B.S. in Finance and Statistics and Operations Research from NYU’s Stern School of Business, Magna Cum Laude, in 2004.
